New PhD students join ACG 

Two new students begin their research with us in autumn 2018 

We are pleased to welcome two new PhD students to the ACG in October 2018: Georgios Xypolias will be supervised by Prof Jim Thomason and Wichain Chailad by Dr Liu Yang.

Georgios will work on the environmental resistance of fibre reinforced composites and the effects of the fibre-matrix interphase and manufacturing defects.

Wichain’s research will be on wear resistance of rubbers utilised in applications with aggressive processing conditions, by synthesis and parametric study of self-healing rubber.
