Computer lab

The Henry Dyer computer lab is located on the ground floor of the Henry Dyer building (room HD1.11) and contains 68 PCs. These will be accessible to you as soon as Government guidelines allow, until then see our Virtual Computer Labs section below.

This computer lab is equipped with modern PCs running Windows 10, have printing facilities, WiFi access (for laptop and mobile users) and course software installed.  To log into these machines, use your DS username and password.

Virtual Computer labs

You now have access to our virtual computer labs. Based on Windows Virtual Desktop Technology, the virtual labs allow you to log in remotely to a computer lab PC, but from your own computer tablet or phone.

They have all the University lab software installed, you can interact with local USB devices printers, but this also allows Apple Chrome and Android users access to Windows applications without the need to run emulators.

You can access the windows virtual computer labs with the URL J.MP/strathlabs and remember to log in with your email address and DS password.
