Engineering the Future for GirlsApplication process

Our 2026 Programme

The Engineering the Future for Girls ran in May 2026 for female school pupils in S3. 100 girls were selected to attend the 4-day programme.

Participants spent 4 days on the University of Strathclyde campus when they heard from staff at the University and company representatives who provided an insight into studying and working in the field of engineering. They also took part in practical activities run by University of Strathclyde staff and engineers.

The programme was fully-funded and all student costs, including lunch each day and a contribution towards travel and/or accommodation. The programme was non-residential and therefore pupils made their own way each day to the Strathclyde University Campus in the heart of Glasgow City Centre. Teachers were not required to accompany pupils.
