The Centre for the Social History of Health and Healthcare (CSHHH) Glasgow was established in 2005 as a collaboration between the University of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian University.
We're now Scotland’s leading centre for the history of health and medicine.
Our key objectives are to produce the highest-quality research, knowledge exchange and teaching on all aspects of the social history of health and healthcare in the modern world.
Our centre has attracted resources from the Wellcome Trust, the Arts & Humanities Research Council, the Economic & Social Research Council and the British Academy and investment by both universities. It now numbers over twenty members of staff and a thriving postgraduate community.
