MSc Diplomacy & International Security

Develop your understanding of a range of issues, debates and specialist topics in the history of health and medicine.

MSc Historical Studies

Study mode & duration: 12 months full-time; 24 months part-time; 9 months full-time; 18 months part-time

Gain experience of advanced historical study while broadening your historical awareness and carrying out an extended piece of original historical research.

The courses helped me a lot in understanding research theory and methods. This knowledge will help me to do better research in the future. I found that history of health and medicine has developed significantly. It covers not only the evolution of medical theory and technology but also major changes of society and culture.

Fees & funding

Applicants ordinarily resident in Scotland

From 2023/24 academic year, SAAS are increasing the tuition fee loan from £5,500 to £7,000. Full-time students can also apply for a living cost loan of up to £4,500, making the total funding available £11,500.

EU residents

EU residents applying to full-time, face-to-face postgraduate taught programmes may be eligible for an EU Engagement Scholarship worth £5,000.

Non-EU international residents

Non-EU international residents applying to full-time, face-to-face postgraduate taught programmes may be eligible for a scholarship worth up to £5,000.
