Reset your password

You can reset your DS password online using PEGASUS.

 

If you know your password but want to change it

  • Login to PEGASUS
  • Choose the ‘Change password’ link in the 'Services' section of the screen

 

If you've forgotten your DS username and/or password

Reset your password now
  1. Go to the password reset tool
  2. Enter your personal information
  3. Submit

The information you enter must match the information we hold on file for you. Once we verify your information we will send you an email or SMS text message, depending on the information you provide. You will then have 2 days to reset your password.

 

Strathclyde password rules

Whenever you set or change your password, you will need to make sure it complies with the following rules. If you don't, then the system will not allow you to set/change your password:

  • Use 8 to 16 characters
  • Combination of upper and lowercase letters (A-Z, a-z)
  • At least one number (0-9) or one of the following symbols (# $ % ^ & * - _ + = [ ] { } | \ : , . ? / ` ~ ( ) ;)
  • The first character must be alphabetic
  • Can't contain your name or username

Please note that the use of common names or simplistic passwords could compromise the security of your data.

Role accounts and Limited Access accounts

If you have a role account or a limited access account, you cannot change the password using the above links, but you can do it here instead.
