LibraryReturning books to the Library

We’ve made it easy for you to return books to us so that other students can use them. You can:

  • return books to the Library building during our opening hours
  • post books back to us for free

We have waived overdue fines, except in cases where your book/s on loan have been reserved by someone else.

Return books in person

You don't need your student card to bring books back to the Library. Simply hand your books in at the welcome desk at the main entrance during opening hours.

Post books back to us for free

We have set up a Freepost service so that people in the UK can send books back to us free of charge.

Please package items carefully in a Jiffy bag (or similar) and address them to:

FREEPOST
STRATH LIBRARY

Don't write anything else on the envelope.

You can then put the item in a post box, or you can take it to a Post Office if you would like proof of postage. For proof of postage you'll need to give the Post Office our postcode which is:

G4 0NS

We will remove books from your Library record as soon as we receive them. Please check your Library account a few weeks after posting, and if the item has not been removed, then contact us

Please don't try to use the Freepost service if you live outside of the UK.
