Information for Visitors and Suppliers
Introduction
The University of Strathclyde has long been known as 'the place of useful learning', an ethos that goes back to the times of the founder Professor John Anderson but is more relevant than ever today. It consists of various departments, faculties and schools, most of which carry out their own Procurement, plus a central administration.
The University spends circa £90m per annum across a diverse range of categories. Examples include:
Catering, Computer consumables, Construction, Laboratory equipment, Waste Disposal and Vehicle hire.
The University recognises the important contribution made by its suppliers, and with such a broad range of products and services, seeks to work with those who are both innovative and competitive.
