Student Lifecycle Replacement parchments, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The replacement certificate will be produced in the current University style. It will state “(Duplicate) Reprinted on ….”.

It will include your name, programme of study, classification, and award date.

If you need a breakdown of your subjects and marks, please request a transcript via our Online Shop.

We aim to produce replacement certificates within 10 working days.

During busy times, we cannot guarantee your certificate will be produced within this time frame. We recommend you allow approximately 20 working days for delivery.

If the information requested relates to a certificate awarded before 1984 this will take longer to produce. This is because we will need to obtain records from our Archives department. In these cases, please allow approximately 30 working days for delivery.

Yes. You will need to make a separate request for each one and the same cost will apply to each request.

Only one copy of your parchment (certificate) may be in existence at any given time. We are unable to provide additional copies. You may request transcripts via our Online Shop.

If you have graduated and attended the graduation ceremony, you will have received your certificate. If you did not attend your ceremony (or your programme was not included in a graduation ceremony), your certificate will have been sent to the home address on your student record.

Certificates to UK addresses are sent by Royal Mail standard delivery. They usually arrive within 5 working days. Certificates sent to non-UK addresses by Royal Mail can take longer. It can depend on local postal services. We recommend allowing approximately 20 working days for delivery.

After two months, if you have still not received your certificate, please email graduation-enquiries@strath.ac.uk Include your full name, date of birth, your student registration number, and the address you would like your certificate sent. We'll check if your certificate has been returned to us and resend it if it has.

If it has been over six months since you completed your programme, you must request and pay for a replacement certificate via our Online Shop.
