Walking
Walking is a great alternative for getting around: it's good for you and the environment, and does not contribute to pollution. Walking for just 30 minutes a day can reduce the risk of several serious health conditions, and has been shown to enhance mental health.
Social Walking Group: Thursdays 12pm
To promote walking as a healthy and free mode of transport we host a social walking group every week that is open to everyone!
- When is it? Every Thursday 12pm to 1pm (weather permitting!)
- Where is it? We meet by the giant nappy pin in Rottenrow Gardens
- What will I see? The route will change most weeks but always aims for quieter streets and green space
If you want to get a bit more active but are not sure how, or just want to get outside during the work day, then our social walking group is for you!
Email us at sustainability@strath.ac.uk to find out more and to join the mailing list for weekly updates.
