Development of food and drink related CPD module in support of National Transition Training Fund (NTTF) Scotland.
Many in the Scottish workforce faced redundancies due to the pandemic, and the NTTF was launched as a counteracting measure. Freely accessible training modules and programmes in many disciplines are aimed at re-skilling and up-skilling existing workforce, enabling transition to other employment sectors, or improve potential of finding gainful opportunities in the same sector. The Centre produced a CPD module on non-invasive analysis of food safety and quality, delivered via NMIS Manufacturing Skills Academy platform. This is the first in a series of CPD modules on food analysis methods, to be developed collaboratively with the Food Authenticity Network.
