Conveniently based in Glasgow city centre, we have extensive analysis facilities and state-of-the-art equipment which, when we're not using for our own research, can be hired by businesses as an economical way to further develop new products and services.

We're always keen to collaborate with industry so we also have a number of staff dedicated to assisting you to explore collaboration opportunities and access to facilities, as well as potential funding streams.

Advanced Forming Research Centre

Part of the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland, based close to Glasgow Airport, this specialist metal forming and forging centre provides cutting-edge facilities and expertise dedicated to solving today’s toughest manufacturing and production challenges.

Offering a wide range of analysis and knowledge in materials engineering and science, the laboratory has material testing capability from nano-scale to full component.

Technology and Innovation Centre

Continuous Manufacturing & Crystallisation (CMAC)

A world-leading centre for the exploration and development of novel medicines manufacture and supply, the centre can support product development through to fully commercialised product manufacturing. Capability includes: process and product analysis, primary and secondary processing, x-ray and imaging, and materials analysis.

Power Networks Demonstration Centre (PNDC)

Located just north of Glasgow and with excellent transport links, PNDC specialises in whole energy systems research, providing a test and demonstration environment for the development of novel energy and transport technologies.

ULab

ULab is a dedicated online catalogue of equipment enabling both internal and external users to locate, check availability, and book equipment at the University.

They are also winners of the Laboratory Monitoring Software Developer of the Year award.
