Legal Theory
In the Centre, our work is inspired and engages with very diverse legal theories and most are part of critical legal theories, such as radical and African feminism, posthuman feminism, queer theory, and Marxism. The Centre is also building expertise in earth system governance, rights of nature and animal law. Key concepts that are underpinning some of this work are global law, constitutionalism, democracy, and systems theory. The Centre’s research also spans different philosophical traditions ranging from analytical to continental and indigenous legal theories.
