SIOM event: Digital Strategy for Textiles

SIOM are partnering with Textiles Scotland to scope and deliver the key components of a Digital Strategy for the sector. This exclusive ‘sleeves-up’ workshop represents one of the first steps in the partnership. A diverse range of textile industry representatives will meet to discuss long-term challenges and opportunities for the textiles industry in Scotland as well as initiating some short to midterm projects.

Chaired by Graeme Waddell, Chairman, Energen Biogas, the event will examine a number of themes including the strength of the engineering offering in the educational sector within the city and the skills which can be gained in Glasgow. The event will also touch on Innovation and Disruptive Technology showcasing, where Glasgow currently sits on this landscape and opportunities for the future. Finally, productivity and the supply chain will be discussed looking at how Glasgow can learn from other cities across the UK as well as the core strengths of the city in this area.

At this event, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from a panel of experts on the city’s current status and future opportunities, drawing on the businesses and institutions of Glasgow - and the academic excellence of the University of Strathclyde Business School as well as the professional expertise from PWC.
