Structural fuse to control forces transmitted to onshore wind turbine foundations: feasibility study
Wind turbines are growing in size to match global energy demand. This makes pre-existing, smaller, foundations unsuitable for use, and results in the construction of large, costly, foundations for newer turbines. The introduction of a passive structural fuse at the foundation-tower interface could help.

Data fusion pipelines for predictive maintenance of wind turbines
There is significant interest in predictive maintenance for wind turbines, which can lead to reduced downtime, increased availability, and higher utilisation of components’ remaining useful life. Incorporating vibration data from Condition Monitoring Systems could provide better fault detection.
