MPhil/PhD Programme & Doctoral Training Centre

The University of Strathclyde and world leading pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) have established new models of industry/university partnership that drive significant benefits for both organisations and the wider economy.

Our partnership has established a novel collaborative MPhil and PhD Programme and a Doctoral Training Centre.

Since launching in 2009, this landmark partnership has supported both GSK employees and new graduates towards higher research degrees. The collaboration has included over 200 research students to date and has seen over 125 research papers published in an outstanding series of contributions towards the research outputs of both organisations and all associated with the UK health sector.
