Prof David Birch

David Birch was a Keynote Speaker at the Emerging Analytical Professionals conference held in Bristol on May 8th-10th 2015.This year's Emerging Analytical Professionals weekend meeting was the 20th in the series and provided networking and CPD opportunities for early career analytical scientists across all disciplines, and was open to both industry and academia. With close links to the RSC the 2015 theme was Lighting the Way for Analytical Scientists, inspired by the International Year of Light. David presented the first of two keynote lectures and reviewed fluorescence approaches to diabetes, melanoma and Alzheimer's.
