This prize, which is open to everyone within SIPBS is designed to offer an opportunity of support to all staff & students who have an idea for a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity that might also contribute to Equality, Diversion & Inclusion within SIPBS. The prize, up to £500, can be used towards an idea, such as an event, conference or course attendance, or to pay towards expenses generated from the organising of a networking event, workshop, or small conference within SIPBS.
You can apply for this prize for a whole range of reasons: enhance skills, gain new skills or knowledge, networking and communication, outreach, EDI, sustainability, or to enhance a process. The form, which is easy to complete (you don't need grant writing skills), will take around 30 minutes to complete, and you can also start it, pause, and return to it later.
As this prize is linked to Athena Swan activities, we do ask some personal questions; these are important for us to understand who is applying and how we might improve applications from across a broad range of our population and job categories in future.
The closing date is the 5th September 2025, and we look forward to receiving your application. If you do have any queries on the completion of an application form, please contact a member of the organisation, culture and communication (OCC) team: Linda: l.horan@strath.ac.uk
