Strathclyde Institute for Genealogical StudiesRecipient Announced for the Inaugural Borders and Shires Scholarship

We’re delighted to share that the very first Borders and Shires Scholarship has been awarded to Laura Lee who is about to begin her third year (dissertation year) of the MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographic, and Heraldic Studies.

The award covers tuition fees for the dissertation stage of the MSc programme. It is designed to assist students who may not otherwise have access to financial support as they develop their specialist research at the highest academic level.

We extend our warm congratulations to Laura on being selected as the first recipient of this scholarship, and we look forward to following the progress of her dissertation and future contributions to the field of genealogy.

The scholarship was created through the generous support of a member of our alumni community, who wished both to promote advanced genealogical research and to honour their family’s memory.
