Strathclyde Institute for Genealogical Studies announce Honorary Research Fellow appointment extensions
Strathclyde Institute for Genealogical Studies is delighted to announce the extension of two Honorary Research Fellow appointments.
Dr Maurice Gleeson and Mr Michael Tobias will continue to provide guidance, mentor students, deliver presentations and enrich the genealogical studies programme community until September 2027.
Maurice brings extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of genetic genealogy to the department and his own personal research interests include Genetic Genealogy, Clan research, surname research and unknown parentage.
Michael is an alumnus of the University, gaining an MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies in 2012, and his research forms part of the ‘Demographic and Genealogical Survey of Scottish Jewry’ in conjunction with the International Institute for Jewish Genealogy, Jerusalem.
Tahitia McCabe, Course Director said, ‘we are delighted that Maurice and Michael have accepted our invitation to extend their time with us and look forward to continuing our work together’.
