What is University Clearing?

You still have the chance to study at our multi-award winning university. Clearing is the process where you can apply for courses that still have places available. Applicants contact us directly to see if we’ll accept them.

Strathclyde welcomes international students from over 100 countries. We're looking forward to assisting you through the application process on to your desired course, and supporting you throughout your degree and beyond.

We welcome applications through Clearing from international students (non-EU). You're eligible to apply through Clearing if:

  • you are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes (non-EU), and
  • you missed the 30 June UCAS application deadline by which to apply to universities

  • you do not have any offers at a UK university
  • you did not meet the required grades for the conditional offers that you already have at other universities

Glasgow is Scotland's biggest & most cosmopolitan city

Our campus is based in the very heart of Glasgow, Scotland's largest city. National Geographic named Glasgow as one of its 'Best of the World' destinations, while Rough Guide readers have voted Glasgow the world’s friendliest city! And Time Out named Glasgow in the top ten best cities in the world - we couldn't agree more!

We're in the city centre, next to the Merchant City, both of which are great locations for sightseeing, shopping and socialising alongside your studies.
