We're delighted to be able to offer our students access to the University’s travel provider Key Travel. They will be operating an online booking portal specifically for Strathclyde students to help you arrange your travel to Glasgow.

Arriving at Glasgow Airport
Glasgow International Airport can be found on the outskirts of Glasgow City centre and is the main airport for transatlantic and international flights. The University does not offer a meet-and-greet, or pick-up service.

Can I use the eGates?
Student Visa
I am a national of Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, and the United States of America and I applied for a Student visa before I came to the UK.
YES, you can use the automated eGates on arrival into the UK, free of charge. Nationals from these seven countries will also no longer need to complete a landing card on arrival. You should also keep a copy of your travel documents and boarding passes for future reference and for presentation at the University of Strathclyde.
I am an EU/EEA/Swiss national and I applied for a Student visa before I came to the UK.
YES, you can use the automated eGates on arrival into the UK, free of charge. You should also keep a copy of your travel documents and boarding passes for future reference and for presentation at the University of Strathclyde.
All other nationalities with a Student visa will be required to be seen by a Border Force Officer on arrival in the UK.
Standard Visitor Visa (for Study) - please read further information in relation to eGates and arrival at the UK Border
I am a national of Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, and the United States of America, an EU/EEA or Swiss national and I did not apply for a visa before arrival in the UK. If you are entering the UK for exchange, study abroad, or returning for exams, you can use the e-gates or see a border force officer, you will not receive a stamp in your passport but you are allowed to study for up to 6 months. You must keep copies of your flight booking, tickets and boarding pass for your personal record to confirm your date of entry to the UK and will need to provide a copy of this documentation at registration.
If you are a national of one of the countries listed above AND applied for your visa before travelling to the UK you can use the eGates. You must retain a copy of your travel documents and boarding passes for presentation at the University of Strathclyde.
All other nationalities with a Visa will be required to be seen by a Border Force Officer on arrival in the UK.
