Summary

The Humanitarian Scholarship for Displaced Palestinians supports access to study at Postgraduate Diploma and Masters level courses except the MBA and PGDE for Palestinian students who are facing financial and additional access barriers to study at this level. 

Before applying, you should have submitted an application for admission to a Postgraduate Taught course at the University and been accepted.

Eligibility

Applicants can apply if they meet the following criteria:

Have submitted an application to an eligible course (taught postgraduate, full-time course at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow) and have met the conditions of the offer

  • Be a holder of Palestinian ID/travel documents

  • Be classified as ‘Overseas’ for fees

  • Be in a position to benefit from single person accommodation during your studies

Priority will be given to those who do not currently hold a Masters degree or have never studied outside Palestine

How to apply

Eligible applicants can submit an application for consideration by the Scholarship Panel, who will select successful applicants on the basis of the following criteria:

  1. How the proposed course of study will enhance the applicant’s declared career aspirations
  2. The direct impact of a scholarship on the ability of the student to take up the course
  3. The potential for the student to successfully register and complete the course, and their commitment to the chosen field of study


Successful applicants will be offered an award for one year. Awards will cover travel, tuition, accommodation and a cost-of-living stipend. 

Applications for course starting in the 2026-27 Academic Year should be submitted by 11.45pm on Friday 27th March 2026.
