Shape the future of science education in Qatar
The University of Strathclyde in Glasgow is offering fully-funded degrees in science and education to Qatari students beginning study in 2025/26.
Students have the opportunity to specialise in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics. You will gain expertise in your chosen field within the Faculty of Science before moving on to Strathclyde Institute for Education to work towards qualifying as a science teacher.

The programme aims to produce highly skilled science educators who will gain advanced knowledge and expertise at a renowned international institution before returning to Qatar to contribute to this national vision.

Our courses
Following an initial foundation year, study within the Faculty of Science will give you advanced knowledge in your scientific specialism. In fourth year, you will shift to teaching practice, studying pedagogy techniques while undertaking 18 weeks of school placements.
Eligibility
Students who have studied the Tawjihiyya/Thanawiya General School Certificate are eligible to apply for entry through a foundation programme at the University of Strathclyde International Study Centre (ISC).
Students who have studied an international qualification such as A Levels, the IB Diploma, or the American High School system are eligible for direct entry but should check the relevant country entry requirements.
Students who do not meet the direct entry requirements can complete the Undergraduate Foundation Programme at the University of Strathclyde ISC. This is a preparatory programme for international students who do not meet the direct entry requirements for an undergraduate degree at the University of Strathclyde. Upon successful completion, students will progress to the second year of the four-year science with teaching undergraduate degree.
Scholarships
Fully-funded scholarships are available for Qatari students to cover tuition fees, travel and living costs.
