As a leading international university with its heart in Scotland, Strathclyde is committed to playing an active role in the future sustainability of the Gaelic language and culture.
We are seeking views on our draft Gaelic Language Plan, which describes how the University will contribute to the future of the Gaelic language in Scotland.
The University has a unique position in Scotland as the largest provider of initial teacher education and professional development for primary and secondary Gaelic teachers, as well as teachers working in Gaelic medium schools.
The Gaelic Language Plan seeks to build on this tradition and support the aspirations and objectives set out in the National Plan for Gaelic and the Gaelic Language.
The consultation is open until Thursday 18 February 2021.
