A UK-wide conference on entrepreneurship and startup companies is to be hosted at the University of Strathclyde.
The Startup Higher Unconference, on 13-15 May, will bring together entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship educators, innovators and charitable sector members to exchange ideas and experiences and to strengthen networks.
Central role
The event, with guest speakers and panel discussions, will be the fifth in the history of Startup Higher, which is itself a startup company. The choice of Strathclyde as host reflects the University’s central role in Glasgow City Innovation District and its active support of entrepreneurship through the Strathclyde Inspire programme.
Subjects covered will include entrepreneurial ecosystems and diverse investment.
University of Strathclyde Principal and Vice Chancellor, Professor Stephen McArthur, said
We are delighted that the Startup Higher team have chosen to host 2026’s unconference at the University of Strathclyde. As a leading entrepreneurial campus and a driving force within Glasgow City Innovation District, we’re excited to welcome colleagues from across the Higher Education sector to the heart of Glasgow’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Ben Cole, co-founder of Startup Higher, said: “Collaboration is at the heart of what we do at Startup Higher. We are delighted to be connecting the entrepreneurial wonders of Glasgow with our Uncon again this year.
“We are particularly excited to be back in Scotland. We recognise that Startup Higher is a great mechanism for beginning to build collaborations and connections. We hope that moving our base around the UK gives opportunity for discovering new ideas, connections and collaborators.”
Early bird tickets are now available for the event, which will be held at Strathclyde Business School.
