    Business Model Canvas Workshop

    This hands-on workshop will walk you through the steps of defining your business model to help you start and grow an investable business. The Business Model Canvas will give clarity to your idea and you’ll create a tangible, visual document that maps your business model in a single page. This is a chance to look at your business in depth, pulling out key features such as customers, costs and revenues and what makes your company stand out from the crowd. 

    We will also have a member of the International Student Support Team available to give an overview of the Start-Up Visa. This will give interested international students an opportunity to learn more about the Visa and to ask specific questions.

    Legal Aspects of Building a Business Workshop

    Strathclyde Entrepreneurial Network is hosting a workshop on Legal Aspects of Building a Business, hosted by Dr Julie Nixon: Senior Associate, Morton Fraser and Stewart Moy, Associate, Morton Fraser.

    The legal process of forming a company is not always one that is straight-forward and it is important to understand the legal risks involved. This session will cover the legal issues faced when setting up a business, considering types of structures and key agreements to put in place when starting up.

    Understand how inventors, investors and partners can work together (or otherwise!) to make a successful collaboration. Learn about the principles, strategies and skills of getting to a mutually valuable deal and how to use these skills in everyday business scenarios.

    This seminar and workshop provide information and practical advice to help you navigate through the negotiation process and how to reach a deal that works for you as well as your business partners.
