For autistic children, participating in Physical Activity (PA) can be challenging resulting in significantly lower PA levels and higher rates of sedentary behaviour and obesity compared to their typically developing peers. Using LEGO®, we explore with autistic learners their (often unseen) experiences, feelings, and interests to develop together an active play programme fostering their participation in PA that meets their needs, strengths, and preferences.
