The discovery of functional materials, like organic semiconductors, is fundamental to building a sustainable future. The efficiency of technologies like solar panels and OLED devices depends on identifying superior functional materials. However, traditional discovery methods, like density functional theory (DFT), are computationally slow. Machine learning  (ML) offers a powerful alternative, reducing computational time. This minimises energy consumption during the discovery process and enables the development of more energy-efficient devices.
