Strathclyde has a variety of different roles that are part of Operational Services.
These roles are fundamental to the smooth running of the University and allows it to function successfully from day to day.
Operational jobs are usually based across campus, in different buildings dependant on what team individuals are part of.
Roles range from being part of our domestic cleaning team to catering staff and porters, handy people, conference hosts, grounds people and some security jobs.

Learning & development opportunities
Learning and development opportunities are offered at all levels of employment for Operational staff.
This includes health & safety and first aid training.

Specifically, our cleaning staff benefit from British Institution of Cleaning Science (BICS) training which is an accredited course which when complete, individuals are recognised as being part of the largest independent professional and educated body within the cleaning industry.
