MBA & General Management About Us
About the MBA & General Management Unit
The MBA & General Management Unit is responsible for several key programmes offered by Strathclyde Business School, including the flagship Master of Business Administration.
Our MBA has been offered since 1966 when it was the first one year MBA programme to be offered in the UK. We were also first to offer a part time MBA and a flexible learning MBA in the UK in 1976 and 1983 respectively.
Our MBA is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and has been since 1983. This accreditation, along with Business School accreditation from AACSB and EQUIS, means we are a triple accredited business school and have been ever since 2004.
AMBA accreditation covers our other Masters programme the Masters in Business Management (MBM) which is accredited by AMBA as a Pre-Experience Masters in Management. The MBM can be converted into an MBA after acquiring sufficient work experience within five years of graduating.
We also offer the Masters in International Management (MIM),a course designed to help you develop the knowledge and skills required by international managers and leaders to operate globally. The programme offers an optional elective at Toulouse Business School.
