Force tensiometer

Our Attension Sigma 701 force tensiometer can be used to measure a variety of parameters such as surface or interfacial tension of liquids, powder wettability and dynamic contact angle. The ability to use any material as a probe in contact angle measurements can be particularly useful for surface investigation of materials. The instrument allows for a maximum load of 5 g and is sufficiently sensitive that individual reinforcement fibres of micrometer dimensions can be analysed.

The tensiometer setup in the ACG can also be operated with liquids controlled above room temperature using an oil-based heating system.
