KTPs are at the heart of our industrial engagement strategy. Our staff are committed to building and running KTP projects which exploit their expertise and our equipment capabilities. These are done in partnership, meeting the business and technical needs of industry. KTPs can improve your company’s competitiveness and productivity.
The Industrial Doctorate Programme is for employees who are carrying out high quality research in the normal course of their work. It allows you to register for, and obtain a PhD degree from the University of Strathclyde. The aim is establish cooperation between Strathclyde, a company and an employee/researcher, on a specific project that is of high value to each of the participating parties. The project serves to bridge the gap between industry and academia.
Each of our eight departments has their own specialist equipment and facilities. Our facilities are often used by our industry partners who we work closely with to conduct high-impact practical research.
