The Fab Lab is an area where we share knowledge and skills. It is a place for fun as well as academic endeavour. We support staff and students throughout the University, but also welcome members of the public and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The diversity of users has allowed us to establish a core group of specialists, with experience in many disciplines and the ability to provide guidance on a variety of projects.

Strathclyde Early Childhood Education Hub
The Strathclyde Early Childhood Education Hub is not a specific university centre but a working group of members who all specialise in Early Childhood Education.
The hub page will provide an overview of the work that happens within The Strathclyde Institute of Education in relation to Early Childhood, including research projects, our related courses, and knowledge exchange opportunities; it is the first place to look if you need to know anything about Early Childhood at Strathclyde.
Confucius Institute for Scotland's Schools
We want Scotland’s children and young people to have the opportunity to learn about Chinese language and culture.
That's why the Confucius Institute for Scotland's Schools promotes and supports high quality Chinese language learning .
We want to teach our young people to become better global citizens and develop key skills for life and work, so they can make a significant contribution to a fairer, smarter and more successful Scotland.
SCILT, Scotland's National Centre for Languages
SCILT promotes and supports the delivery of high quality language learning.
Scotland is already a multi-cultural society where we speak many languages. This includes indigenous, Scottish languages and those originating from further afield.
We want to make sure all languages and cultures are valued and that life-long language learning is recognised as a key skill for life and work.
Strathclyde Visual Arts Studio
The Strathclyde Visual Arts Studio was set up to support students interested in pursuing a career in Fine Art or Design. It builds on the success of the Tramway Visual Arts Studio which has enabled students to gain acceptance to all of Scotland’s main art schools and other British institutions including Goldsmiths and The Royal College of Art.
Run by experienced art educators, the programme teaches students a wide variety of skills, encouraging them to engage in an experimental and creative process enabling them to produce a highly individual and imaginative portfolio focussed on their specific area of interest.
