We’re delighted to announce that Sarah Leach has been selected as the 2026/27 recipient of the Borders and Shires Scholarship.

Sarah is about to begin the third and final year of her MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies, during which she will undertake her dissertation.

The scholarship covers tuition fees for the dissertation stage of the MSc programme, supporting students who may not otherwise have access to financial assistance as they pursue specialist research at the highest academic level.

We warmly congratulate Sarah on receiving this scholarship and look forward to following the progress of her dissertation and her future contributions to the field of genealogy.

The scholarship was established through the generous support of a member of our alumni community, who wished to promote advanced genealogical research while also honouring their family’s memory.
