International students Student visa

The Student visa route is for those planning to study at the University of Strathclyde for longer than 6 months.  It is required for all non-UK nationals (excluding Irish nationals).

Overview

You will require a Student visa before enrolling in a full-time degree program.  Before applying, you must obtain a CAS from the University and meet the UK Government's Student visa route requirements.

Supporting documents

As well as your valid passport and CAS, you will be required to provide additional supporting documents to UKVI.  What documents you need will depend on your circumstances.  Visit our guidance for details.

Applying outside the UK

You must apply online for a Student visa.   Depending on where you're from and what type of passport you have, you will be asked to attend a visa application centre or use the 'UK Immigration: ID Check' app to scan your passport.

Applying inside the UK
