RegistrationUpload your documents - International (including EU/EEA & Swiss) students

Document checks will take at least three days to complete at peak periods.

If you are subject to UK immigration control, and therefore require a visa, or leave to remain, to either be in the UK or come to the UK, you will need to provide evidence of this at registration.

If you are a student with a Student Visa or other immigration status (for example, you may have a dependent BNO or refugee visa) we are required by the Home Office to carry out a check of relevant documents as part of the registration process.

If you are settled in the UK, (Refugee settlement, Indefinite Leave to remain, EUSS etc) you will also need to provide evidence of this status, either a BRP or share code so that this can be checked.

These will be reviewed by the Visa Compliance Team who will confirm your Right to Study/UKVI check (red cross to a green tick) on Pegasus once all documents have been checked.

What documents do I need to upload?

Please click on the dropdown boxes below for more information.

If you have applied for your visa outside the UK

If you have been issued a CAS, you must only travel to the UK when your application has been successful and you have received entry clearance.

You must upload the following documents to be checked in order to prove you have the appropriate permission to study. Please see below:

1. Passport

A copy of the biodata page with your passport number, photo, issue and expiry date.

2. Visa

Upload one of the following depending on your situation:

Option 1: Stamped Entry Clearance Vignette
  • a copy of your 30-day entry clearance vignette with the immigration stamp of the date you entered the UK (please note, this may be valid for 90 days due to COVID-19 concessions)

The University's Visa Compliance team will also complete final checks on your immigration permission, including your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP), when you arrive in the UK. Please check BRP collection for further instructions.

Option 2: Immigration Status Share Code and Travel Details

If you applied for your visa using the ID check app, you will not receive an entry clearance vignette or a BRP, instead you will be issued with digital status. Please provide the following:

(Please Note: You need to choose ‘something else’ for requesting the code, not work or rent related. We require it for study). Please ensure the code begins with the letter 'S', indicating it is for study
  • You must upload a copy of your travel documentation (boarding pass/flight ticket) confirming when you arrived in the UK
