What is Sustainability Week?
Sustainability Week is the University of Strathclyde’s annual celebration focused on advancing sustainable development across teaching, research, operations and student life.

Whether you want to deepen your knowledge on sustainability, connect with others, or find simple ways to make a difference, there is something for you.
Purpose
Held each March since 2021, it is delivered through a programme of events, workshops and talks that bring together students, staff, researchers and external partners to:
- showcase sustainability research & innovation
- build knowledge & skills linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
- connect disciplines & professional services
- support delivery of the University’s Social & Environmental Sustainability Strategy (SESS)
- inspire practical action across our community

Rethinking Scotland's National Outcomes Framework
Can Scotland really be a responsible Global Citizen? Scotland’s National Performance Framework is being redesigned. We have a chance to influence what comes next – and make sure the Sustainable Development Goals are at the heart of how Scotland measures success. The Sustainability Fair is an interactive, drop-in event designed to help staff and students explore sustainability. The purpose of the fair is to explore what active citizenship looks like in practice at Strathclyde and Glasgow. Whether participants are interested in shaping their future career, volunteering their time, or making more sustainable choices.Location: Strath UnionTime: 11am - 2pm

Student Sustainability Festival
The Student Sustainability Festival is a cornerstone event of the University of Strathclyde’s Sustainability Week. The Festival will be held in the Barony Hall, and will include the Sustainability Symposium (formally ESD Conference), Poster Competitions (Masters, UG and PGRs) and interactive games and pop-ups. Best for: Students, researchers, industry partners.Location: Barony HallTime: 10am - 4pm

Join us at the University of Strathclyde's Sustainability Symposium 2026 with keynote speaker Laura Anderson.
