Driving optimal decision-making

Category: Digital connections

Simultaneous closure of road sections after hazard impacts can quickly cause major disruption, producing significant economic and social impacts. Our research seeks to create a decision-support tool to enable transport authorities and operators to optimise resource allocation and prioritise repairs. With the incorporation of a module that simulates day-to-day drivers’ travel decisions, the system aims to account for all possibilities, minimising disruption, maximising connectivity and keeping traffic on the move.
