Hello!
I’m Jaslin and I’m one of the student ambassadors from Design, Manufacture & Engineering Management (DMEM)! I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario and moved to Glasgow in September 2017 and have loved every minute of it. I’m currently finishing up my MSc in Product Design here at the University of Strathclyde and can say it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. The courses I have taken in DMEM have taught me so much, I would do it all over again if I was given the opportunity.
Smooth transition
My transition from Canada to Scotland, specifically to Strathclyde, was extremely smooth with the help of professors and other faculty members.
Everyone at Strathclyde was very friendly and helpful during my time here, they ensured I got the help I needed and were always there to answer any questions.
Beautiful city filled with history
Studying and living in central Glasgow where the closest shops are a five-minute walk has made this one of the best experiences ever.
Having everything nearby is super convenient and also makes for a fun study break! Glasgow is a beautiful city filled with so much history, you’ll always find something fun to do!
Along with my studies, I was also able to travel around Scotland and explore the beauty it has to offer. I even had some free time to visit cities such as Dublin and London with my flatmates! You’ll make so many amazing new friends and memories that’ll last a lifetime.
