Our taught Masters programmes are challenging and research-informed. Designed to support and enhance professional practice and learning, they have been developed in line with current policy priorities to resonate with the work of key education professions. 

Whether training as a teacher or seeking to develop your expertise in the theory and practice of education, our portfolio of programmes are designed to help educators effect real change.

Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)

The PGDE qualifies graduates to teach in primary and secondary education settings worldwide. It consists of 36 weeks - a mixture of teaching and school placements - after which eligible students can join the Teacher Induction Scheme and gain a guaranteed job for a year in a Scottish school.
