Visitor permits

The process for administering visitor permits is under review.

Currently, departments may make an application on behalf of a visitor. These permits are subject to availability.  If successful, this permit will give a visitor to the University access to a parking space.

A limited number of car parking spaces for disabled visitors are available at:

  • Rottenrow and Taylor Street car park
  • Graham Hills internal car parks
  • Richmond Street car park.

Please contact carparking@strath.ac.uk to apply for a visitor permit, giving at least 48 hours’ notice.
Please include the following information when applying:

  • applicant's details and department
  • visitor's details
  • date, time and duration of the visit.

Our campus map shows where University and nearby private car parks are located.

Contractors

Contractor parking is very limited and is subject to availability. There is no parking available for contractors attending meetings on campus.

Contractors who require to park on campus for the purposes of delivering materials should use the designated drop off areas, where available, for up to a maximum of 20 minutes.

Contractors who are on campus and require regular access to their vehicle as an essential part of carrying out their work, or who provide essential ongoing maintenance services on a frequent, continuing basis should contact their University contact to discuss arrangements.

Please view the full Contractor car parking policy (pdf) for full details.
