Strathclyde, a connected campus

Glasgow is a compact and well-connected city. You can explore it by walking, cycling or wheeling.

Our city centre campus is a short walk from two mainline railway stations, a major bus station and the Glasgow Subway. This makes it easy to get to us by public transport too.

You can get directions with our interactive campus map. If you’re new to the city, there is plenty of information on getting around Glasgow. Find information on accessibility on campus through AccessAble.

For international students travelling from abroad, visit our international arrival support pages.

OVO Bikes membership

All students and staff at Strathclyde are now eligible for a discounted membership to the city bike hire scheme.

This offer will give free unlimited rides of up to 60 minutes on the standard bikes. It can be used for journeys between any of the 100+ stations across the city.

Under 22s free bus travel

Young people aged 5 to 21, who live in Scotland for at least 6 months a year, can apply for a free bus pass. You can use this to travel on most bus services in Scotland for free.

Over 22s discounted travel

Students older than 21 can still access savings on student bus tickets through First Bus.
