We bring together internationally respected groups in both communications technology and digital signal processing. We provide a unique combination of expertise in areas of critical importance to the growth and success of this multi-disciplinary technology.

Industrial and research council funding underpins our research portfolio in three core areas of expertise:

  • broadband networks
  • mobile communications
  • digital signal processing enabled communications

We have an endowed chair, supported by Xilinx, and are core partners with the Virtual Centre of Excellence in Mobile and Personal Communications Limited.

Broadband Networks Group

We focus on advanced networking systems, their inter-networking and their management. We're supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
