Work in this area interrogates the ways in which translation reconstructs and remediates interpersonal, cultural and heritage encounters across boundaries of time, language, space and place.
Current research in this strand thinks through the implications of (metaphorical, interlingual and multimodal) translation in a range of contexts, including testimonial texts and museums.
Funding received from the Carnegie Trust is supporting a project on the role of translation in the delivery of medical relief during the liberation of Belsen.
