The University of Strathclyde has raised beds in this section of the ground outside of student halls.  These are run and maintained by EWB UK (engineers without borders UK). This year in the various raised beds they have raspberry bushes, potatoes, carrots, beetroot, spring onions and assorted bedding flowers. In the vertical planter there are strawberries and assorted herbs.

You will also find a information board from DesignHopes on the FibreFlax which also grows here. As you sit here and watch the raised beds and planters you will see how they attract insects, bees and butterfly's.

This area has beautiful and large trees to look at. Along with the breathing space bench there are numerous other benches to find, and sit on, and take in different angels of the surrounding nature. Every corner of this area has something to discover or read or take in.
