Richmond Street Breathing Space Bench

This bench overlooks the St Enoch Mural - mother of St Mungo, Glasgow's patron saint. Painted by the Smug, the international street artist Smug. The purple of the colours in this mural are incredibly vibrant and make this view both interesting and dramatic.

You can find another mural facing St Enoch, known locally as Wonderwall. This mural was created in 2014 by art collective Art Pistol and spray paint artist Rogue-One and Ejek. There are many features within this mural to take note of and to learn about but in this instance we encourage you to focus on the water and navigation elements of it, in the form of the interpretation of the land-ship training platform which was built on the roof of the Ryal College. Namely because both of these themes fit in so well with nature and trails/walks.

You can also read about the campus's biodiversity improvements via the plaque just across from the bench. You will be able to see the bee posts mentioned on it to your right. This is a spot where the more you look, the more you find.
