Welcome
We're a leading, international technological university located in the heart of Glasgow, Scotland's biggest city. We believe in useful learning which guides our research, our learning and teaching and the way we work with businesses and organisations.
We have a long history of welcoming students from the Netherlands both on exchange and for full-time undergraduate and postgraduate study.
At the moment we have over 50 Dutch students at Strathclyde studying across all four faculties but we'd love to see more of you here.
We welcome applications from well qualified students.
Getting here
Situated in the heart of the city of Glasgow, Strathclyde is within easy access of all major transport routes.
You can fly direct from Amsterdam (AMS) to Glasgow International Airport (GLA) with KLM and easyJet.
The city centre is only 20 minutes away by bus.
Strathclyde International Society
Run by students, for students, the International Society is the first stop for all international students arriving at Strathclyde.
It's the perfect place to meet new people and learn about many different countries and cultures. You can learn more about Glasgow and Scotland too.
There are weekly international pub, movie and games nights which are regularly attended by more than 100 people from countries across the world.
The International Society loves to get out of the city for a bit of sightseeing too. Recent trips have included:
- Edinburgh Zoo
- Isle of Arran
- Stonehaven
- Isle of Skye
- Ben Nevis
- Alnwick Castle (Harry Potter trip)
If you're joining us here at Strathclyde, you can add the Strathclyde International Society as a friend on Facebook to keep up to date with what they're doing and where they meet. You can also email the team for any other information.
We're looking forward to seeing you at Strathclyde!
