Studying with us at Strathclyde
The University of Strathclyde has agreements with a range of Universities around the world which enable students to spend one or two semesters at Strathclyde on a visiting, exchange basis. Check our current list of partners here. If your University does not have an exchange agreement with the University of Strathclyde you may wish to consider applying on an independent visiting basis for one or two semesters
We welcome around 500 inbound exchange students to Strathclyde each year from Europe, to check if your University has an agreement with Strathclyde, you should contact the ERASMUS/International Office at your home university. They will be able to confirm if there is an agreement and which subject areas it covers.
What classes can I study?
Exchange students usually take classes/courses amounting to 60 Strathclyde credits (30 ECTS credits) per semester. This is considered a regular full-time load.
You can only select classes from a maximum of two departments to provide the best chance of them timetabling effectively. In some cases, it may not be possible to confirm your secondary classes until you arrive.
