On the 14th of January 2015 the 3rd annual futurewind event took place at the University of Strathclyde. This event successfully showcased the work of all the Wind Energy CDT students.
A special thanks must be given to Ignacio Marti of ORE Catapult who provided an excellent Keynote address, as well as Alan Mortimer of SgurrControl who gave a short presentation during the control section of the presentations. Our thanks also go to our sponsors ORE Catapult, SgurrControl and Siemens without whom this event would not have been possible.
This years futurewind was a great success and we would like to thank everyone who attended for making it as such. futurewind 2015 presented an opportunity for Industry and Academia to interact and engage with each other. With presentations from students in the DTC who are in their final year of research as well presentations from some industry members there seemed to be enough to encourage healthy discussion during some of the breaks and allowed valuable contacts to be made.
